A central composition of simple fields of colour is intersected by irregular traces, abrasions and fragments of a distorted grid. Clean geometry meets visual chaos, as though an ordered structure had been partly erased by time or chance. The broad, light space around the form heightens a sense of isolation and gives each sign greater significance. Residual Structure concerns what remains after order breaks down: fragments, traces and arrangements from which we try to reconstruct a whole.
